The campus is interspersed with green spaces and communal areas such as cafés and sports facilities. Portsmouth is steeped in history, with the Historic Dockyards and Henry VIII's famous ship the Mary Rose, but has a modern vibe, with designer outlet shopping at Gunwharf Quays and as host to major sporting and cultural events. Portsmouth is an exciting and vibrant place to study. There's a great mix of modern urban and historic areas alongside green spaces and the beach, and it has a real community feel. It's a compact city, and most university buildings, shops and entertainment are within walking distance of each other. . You have access to fantastic facilities in a vibrant city campus on the beautiful South Coast - only 90 minutes from central London. Superb facilities and a productive education in a lively and diverse seaside city, named one of the most affordable in the UK for students.

The  commitment to prepare you for your future is evident in every course, dedicated careers and recruitment services, and a strong graduate employment track record .As a city campus, all the teaching and most residences are in the centre of Portsmouth, so the University and city are right on your doorstep. Around half of students are on courses that lead to professional accreditation, and many more study on courses that offer real-life learning. Simulated learning environments include a mock courtroom, a newsroom, a health simulation suite, a £1m model pharmacy and a forensic house, where criminologists work on staged crime scenes.

All courses reflect the university's commitment to students' future employment, with a dedicated careers and recruitment service, and graduates who earn more than the sector average. Currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, the university is planning new developments including a new indoor sports centre with swimming pool, and a flagship building to house Humanities and the Portsmouth Business School.
