Robert Gordon University, commonly called RGU, is a public university in the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. It is a dynamic, modern place to study with an international reputation for providing high quality education from undergraduate through to PhD level. The diverse and exciting range of degree programmes are taught in state-of-the-art facilities by specialists who maintain close links with the world of work. A number of postgraduate courses are available via distance learning through the University's online learning environment. Today RGU delivers more than 300 courses to over 16,000 students from 120 countries. The university is structured around 11 schools: Aberdeen Business School; School of Applied Social Studies; School of Computing Science and Digital Media; School of Creative and Cultural Business; School of Engineering; Gray's School of Art; School of Health Sciences; The Law School; School of Nursing and Midwifery; School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences; and The Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment. Robert Gordon University's modern, high-tech campus at Garthdee overlooks the River Dee. The emphasis is firmly on vocational and professional courses – indeed, it calls itself "The Professional University" – and a wide range of placement options is on offer, in Britain and abroad. As a result, the university has one of the best graduate recruitment records in the UK (first in Scotland). The city is in the north east of Scotland and has good air, rail and bus connections from most UK cities. Aberdeen attracts photographers, artists, sailors, surfers, kayakers, kite enthusiasts, rowers, walkers, golfers, mountain, rock and ice climbers, snowboarders and white water rafters. Aberdeen is a smart and pleasant city with a cosmopolitan and rather wealthy feel to it. Undergraduate · Students with qualifications from any international high school are expected to have results comparable to students from UK institutions · Students who hold the Year 12 State Board High School Examination must have a minimum of 65% overall · Students with West Bengal State Board Examination must a minimum of 55% overall Postgraduate · A first degree with a minimum overall average of 55% · Students from University of Mumbai, University of Delhi, University of Chennai, University of Calcutta with a minimum overall average of 50%, will be considered · A small number of University postgraduate programmes do require a minimum of second class upper classification, or an equivalent (please refer to the relevant course page) · Applicants with lower qualification and / or relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis · Students who do not meet direct entry requirements may be able to undertake a pre-masters programme through International College at Robert Gordon University. The university is committed to provide safe, secure and affordable accommodation for their students. They have accommodation at ten sites across the city offering a range of prices, rooms, flats and locations. All of their accommodation is self-catered. · Wherever possible the university tries to spread international students evenly across its accommodation sites. · For more information about the various accommodation options please visit the university website. University has various purpose built accommodation developments situated in the city and at the Garthdee campus. The flats are well equipped, and some of the accommodation has en-suite bathrooms, whilst the remainder has shared washing and toilet facilities. The rent you pay generally includes 24/7 highspeed internet access, all utilities, and personal contents insurance. In 2014/15 rent rates ranged from £69 to £189 per week.

Robert Gordon University offers scholarships to full-time, on-campus International students and full fee paying students from the rest of the United Kingdom outside of Scotland (RUK students). The scholarships are available on a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The maximum total amount of scholarships available to an individual student will be £3,000 for students from an approved Partner Institution and £2,500 for direct entry students.
