English Language Requirements

All students applying to the University of Liverpool must demonstrate that they are competent in the use of the English language and satisfy the university’s requirements. Please refer to the university website for details of specific entry requirements.
For undergraduate degree IELTS-6.0 (band score- 5.5)
 

For Masters Degrees - MA/MSc

  • 3 Year Degree with an average of at least 60%

  • 4 Year Degree with an overall average of at least 55%

Requirement for Postgraduate diploma

Applicants holding a 3 Year Degree with an average between 55-60% or a 4 Year degree with an average between 50% and 55%, will be offered entry onto the Postgraduate Diploma in the first instance. Those achieving Masters level passes on the Postgraduate Diploma can proceed to the Masters gaining the award in the same amount of time as if they had initially registered on the Masters Programme initially.
 

University is currently offering suitable accommodation to those with mobility, hearing or visual needs to ensure your experience within our halls of residence is as enjoyable as possible. We work closely with our Admissions team and our Academic Skills Centre to ensure your requirements are met prior to your arrival at the halls. This allows us to make any reasonable adjustments you might need as far in advance of your arrival as possible.
The Maltings features rooms that are adapted for wheelchair access with appropriate kitchen facilities. Other provisions are available for standard study rooms for example; visual fire alarms, pagers and vibrating pillow kits for those who are deaf or hard of hearing. If you feel you require one of these, or other provisions made available to you for your stay, please do not hesitate to contact the Accommodation Service. The Maltings offers career facilities in a number of adjoining rooms across the site. If you believe you will require a carer to support you during your stay, please contact the accommodation team so we can allocate you a room with the appropriate.
